One of our Life Group members has a child who is regularly admitted into the Royal Children's Hospital. As a Life Group we decided to support the 'Run for the Kids' fundraiser event for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday appeal.
As a team we chose to volunteer in the baggage handling area . . . in the the yellow zone. The yellow zone has the most runners and my goodness did they come in huge numbers! I was so encouraged to see our members smile and encourage the runners while politely handling their baggage.
After the event our team got so many messages of thanks from the runners on Twitter, Facebook, etc. Our photo was also hosted on the Herald Sun 'Run for the Kids' page. I am so encouraged to be leading my Life Group in support of this event again in 2017 and can't wait. Bring it on!
