Board of Elders
The role of the Board of Elders is to be the primary governance group of the church, responsible for providing spiritual oversight and ensuring the ongoing health and growth of the church and its ministries. While the day-to-day running of the church is handled by the Senior Minister, the
Senior Leadership Team, and the staff, the Board of Elders hold the Senior Minister accountable and give attention to the overall vision, direction and health of the church. For a full description of the duties of the Board of Elders please

Marg Perry (Chair)
Completed 1st Term 2018-2021, Appointed 2nd Term 2021-2024
Chair (June 2020 to present)
Marg joined CityLife Church in 2014 and serves in the areas of Life Group leadership; coaching; teaching and preaching. She has a double degree Bachelor of Education / Arts from Monash University and MA in Ministry and Leadership. Her background is in education and ministry, having worked in schools, higher education environments, and for many years pastoring in a local church. Marg established and was CEO of a Registered Training Organisation, which offered business and theology qualifications, combining her twin passions for training and pastoral ministry. She has served on several boards, including an award winning social enterprise. Marg is passionate about social justice and served in a managerial role with Samaritan’s Purse Australia, assisting with aid relief and child poverty in the Asia Pacific region. She currently serves as National Program Manager for KIDS HOPE Australia. Marg is married to Jim and they have three adult children.
Grant Levy (Deputy Chair)

Deputy Chair (June 2020 to present)
Grant has been a member of the Knox congregation of CityLife since 2012. He has served as a volunteer in a number of roles, and is currently leading a Life Group. Grant has degrees in law and economics (majoring in accounting) from Monash University, and has practiced as a lawyer in a number of Melbourne CBD law firms for more than 30 years. For the last 5 years, Grant has also been a board member of a social enterprise hospitality business that donates all profits to other charities and provides hospitality training to disadvantaged members of the community. Grant is married to Linda and they have two adult children.

Andrew Chisholm (Senior Minister)
Appointed 2019
Andrew Chisholm has been part of the Knox congregation at CityLife since 1986 and part of the Church staff for over 20 years. During this time, he has served as the Director of World Impact. This role has included the training and coaching of national leaders, as well as developing and implementing leadership training processes and discipleship pathways for church members in a number of nations. Andrew holds formal qualifications in theology and global ministry leadership. More recently, he has led and coached the teaching/preaching team at CityLife.

Peter Green
Appointed 1st Term 2019–2022
Peter has been a part of CityLife for over 40 years. He currently plays cello in the band, volunteers at Southern Cross Kids' Camps and has served in many volunteer roles over the years including previously as an elder before he relocated for a year’s sojourn supporting his wife, Liz with Australian Volunteers International. Peter recommenced his contribution as an elder in August 2018 when he filled a casual vacancy and was then affirmed for a three year term by the partners at the AGM in May 2019. He runs his own veterinary practice, has degrees in veterinary science, psychology and theology and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Theology. Peter is married to Liz and they have three children, Joshua, Benjamin and Gabrielle.
Ken Tan
Appointed 1st Term 2020–2023
Ken is a retired businessman who migrated to Australia in 2011. He has been part of CityLife Church since 2011 although he had visited the church many times prior to 2011 when he was commuting between his family in Melbourne and his business in Sungai Petani, Malaysia.
Ken has been married to Sonya for 42 years and together they have four married daughters, and 6 grandchildren.
He serves in the Welcoming team, Communion and CLCC with smiles, dedication and compassion. He also co-leads a senior’s life group and actively serves the community in teaching migrants English via AMES, as part of the team at the Boronia soup kitchen and as a leader in a BSF Men’s Class. Ken is a lover of sports and is an avid golfer and keen tennis player. He will endeavour to use his business and life experiences as a Board member to contribute to the effective spiritual oversight of CityLife. Most important of all though, he desires to magnify God and to give Him all the glory through serving Him.
Chee Sun Yoong
Appointed 1st Term 2020–2023
Chee Sun has been a member of the CityLife Knox congregation since 1990. He has served in the Creative Arts Ministry, as well as the Kids, Youth and Young Adults ministries (and hopefully plans on being involved in Seniors too one day!). Chee Sun is a former student of Waverley Christian College and has completed degrees in Commerce and Economics (majoring in HR, Marketing and Economics) at Monash University. He is currently employed as a HR Manager at a national food distribution company. Chee Sun is married to Anna and together they have two young children - Hamilton and Maya.
Timothy Tham
Appointed 1st Term 2020-2023
Tim and his wife Jess have been part of CityLife Church for over 20 years. CityLife has been a formative community for God to shape who Tim is today through both the Knox congregation and Waverley Christian College. He has contributed creatively as a leader in the areas of kids ministry, youth ministry, worship ministry, and currently in our young adults ministry.
Passionate about seeing God’s influence in the corporate world, Tim works as a strategy consultant leveraging his growing ability to think in systems and build on his background experience as a Chartered Accountant. He never stops learning and is passionate about sharing the love and lessons God reveals through his life.
Wendy J King
Appointed 1st Term 2021–2024
Wendy has been attending the CityLife Knox congregation since 2000. She has previously been a LG leader, prayer group leader and currently serves in the Connections Lounge. Wendy is a seasoned project and program manager with significant experience in the emergency management sector providing governance and oversight responding to the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission, the Hazelwood Mine Fire Inquiry and more recently working with Bushfire Recovery Victoria. Wendy was previously involved with bringing to Victoria the Kairos Outside program which is a ministry supporting women who have loved ones who have been incarcerated. Wendy is Great Aunt to 14 great nieces/nephews. To relax, Wendy loves to sew which includes sewing dresses for her five great nieces.
Vernon Abraham
Appointed 1st Term 2022-2025
Vernon has been attending CityLife Knox since 2001. He is currently a Life Group leader and previously has served in Youth and Young Adult ministries. Vernon is currently the Optimisation and Risk Manager on the West Gate Tunnel Project and has a background as a Project Manager with Mechanical Engineering qualifications. Vernon has worked on big infrastructure projects in Australia such as the Caulfield to Dandenong Sky Rail and the Ichthys LNG Plant in Darwin. Vernon is currently President of the Waverley City Soccer Club which plays in the Victorian Churches Football Association and provides a place for people in the local community to play soccer in a Christian environment. Vernon is married to Samantha and together they have a son, Jonathan.
