Board of Elders
The role of the Board of Elders is to be the primary governance group of the church, responsible for providing spiritual oversight and ensuring the ongoing health and growth of the church and its ministries. While the day-to-day running of the church is handled by the Senior Minister, the Senior Leadership Team
, and the staff, the Board of Elders hold the Senior Minister accountable and give attention to the overall vision, direction and health of the church. For a full description of the duties of the Board of Elders please click here
Andrew Chisholm (Senior Minister - Interim)
Andrew Chisholm has been part of the Knox congregation at CityLife since 1986 and part of the Church staff for over 20 years. During this time, he has served as the Director of World Impact. This role has included the training and coaching of national leaders, as well as developing and implementing leadership training processes and discipleship pathways for church members in a number of nations. Andrew holds formal qualifications in theology and global ministry leadership. More recently, he has led and coached the teaching/preaching team at CityLife.
Andrea Stickland (Chair)
Andrea has been an elder since 2011. Andrea became a partner of CityLife Church in 2003. She has a Law Degree (Hons) from The University of London and has worked in the legal and corporate governance area for over 13 years. She has served on the worship team and in CityLife Kids. Andrea is married to Ben and they have two primary school aged children.
Marg joined CityLife Church in 2014 and serves in the areas of Life Group leadership; coaching; teaching and preaching. She has a Bachelor of Arts; Diploma of Education; and Master of Arts in Ministry and Leadership. Her background is in education and ministry, having worked in schools, higher education environments, and for many years pastoring in a local church. Marg established and was CEO of a Registered Training Organisation, which offered business and theology qualifications, combining her twin passions for training and pastoral ministry. Marg is also passionate about social justice and served in a managerial role with Samaritan’s Purse Australia, assisting with aid relief and child poverty in the Asia Pacific region. She currently serves as National Program Manager for KIDS HOPE Australia. Marg is married to Jim and they have three young adult children.
Mark has been a partner of CityLife Church since 1989 and, after returning from three years interstate, renewed his partnership in 2000. He serves in the Creative Ministries team as vocalist and musician and has served as a Council member of WCC since 2005. Mark has Engineering (Mech.) degree and an MBA. He has worked in the capital equipment industry for 28 years and held the role of Business Manager for CityLife Church for seven years from 2007 to 2014. Mark is married to Tina and they have three young adult children.
MMichael has been an elder since 2011. A sustainability entrepreneur and chartered engineer, Michael promotes solar renewables and clean water systems while ministering regularly in South East Asia. He earned a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, Master degrees in mechanical engineering and ministry with 30+ years in corporate management of major American companies in Asia and Australia. Together with his wife Gwen, they pioneered the 3Ce ministries now adopted by CityLife World Impact. Involvement includes Life Group leadership, coaching and teaching of LifeTracks. Michael and Gwen have 2 sons, Joshua and Daniel.
Grant has been a member of the Knox congregation of CityLife since 2012. He has served as a volunteer in a number of roles, and is currently leading a Life Group. Grant has degrees in law and economics (majoring in accounting) from Monash University, and has practiced as a lawyer in a number of Melbourne CBD law firms for more than 30 years. For the last 5 years, Grant has also been a board member of a social enterprise hospitality business that donates all profits to other charities and provides hospitality training to disadvantaged members of the community. Grant is married to Linda and they have two adult children.
Kate has been attending CityLife since 2011, initially attending our Knox campus and more recently at our Manningham campus. She contributes as a member of the teaching team and in her dynamic Life Group. Kate is married to Jonathan and together they have served with Operation Mobilisation since 1999, more recently focusing on justice ministries in South East Asia. Kate is currently completing a Masters of Transformational Development so that she can better serve the marginalised people with whom she is working. Kate and Jonathan have three sons, two daughters-in-law and two beautiful grandsons.
Peter has been a part of CityLife for over 40 years and has served in many areas of the church. He currently plays cello in the band, volunteers at Southern Cross Kids' Camps and has served as an elder previously. For the past 9 months, Peter has been filling a casual vacancy on the Board of Elders following the resignation of Daljit Gill. He runs his own veterinary practice, has degrees in veterinary science, psychology and theology and is currently studying for a Masters degree in Theology. Peter is married to Liz and they have three children, Joshua, Benjamin and Gabrielle.
Pramod Ullagaddi has been part of Knox congregation at CityLife since 2001. During this time he has been serving as a Visitor Lounge coordinator, Life Group leader and Life Group coach. He has a MBA degree from Monash University and has worked in a multinational company for 20 years. Currently he is working as CEO in a technology company. Pramod is married to Janet and they have two children.
