Board of Elders
The role of the board of elders is to be the primary governance group of the church, responsible for providing spiritual oversight and ensuring the ongoing health and growth of the church and its ministries. While the day-to-day running of the church is handled by the senior minister, the senior leadership team

Peter Sheahan (Chairperson)
Peter Sheahan served as an elder from 1987 – 2006 and as the Chair of the previous CityLife Board of Directors until our change in governance structure in 2006. Peter is the Principal of Waverley Christian College, a position he has held since 1985. He has been actively involved in a wide variety of ministries within CityLife over the last 34 years. Peter is married to Mardi and they have three adult children.
Andrew Hill (Senior Minister)
Andrew became the senior minister of CityLife Church in 2017. As the senior minister he is responsible for all aspects of the church vision, including leadership, preaching and teaching, and external relationships. Andrew is a leader of leaders with a proven track record in leading and developing both staff and volunteer teams and seeing those teams unite behind a common mission and vision to achieve desired outcomes. Andrew has a wealth of experience across a vast range of church ministries in large church environments. He not only believes in team ministry but also in seeing each team member being able to bring their best to the table through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Ministry, Graduate Diploma of Theology and a Master of Arts in Church Practise. Andrew is married to Leanne and together they have three young adult children Emily, Stephanie and Joshua.
Andrea has been an elder since 2011. Andrea became a partner of CityLife Church in 2003. She has a Law Degree (Hons) from The University of London and has worked in the legal and corporate governance area for over 13 years. She has served on the worship team and in CityLife Kids. Andrea is married to Ben and they have two primary school aged children.
Daljit has been part of CityLife Church since 1988, and a member of the eldership team since 1993. Daljit is an associate minister with responsibility of all pastoral ministries and Life Groups, he oversees all of the multi-sites, generational ministries, men’s events and the LifeTrax training programs. He is well- known for his passionate communication style and motivational energy which inspires many toward their full potential. Daljit is married to Gurmit and together they have two adult children.
Karen has been a partner of CityLife Church since 2005. She has a Commerce degree with a Masters in Human Resource Management and has worked in Accounting, Business Management, Education and Human Resource leadership roles both within the church and the broader not for profit sector for over 20 years. She has served as a volunteer in many roles, including the Lifetrax teaching team, Life Group leadership and with CLCC. Karen is married to Andrew and they have two young adult children.
Liz became a partner of CityLife Church in 2007. She serves in a number of ministry areas including Life Group leadership and coaching. She holds a degree in electrical and electronics engineering (Hons) and is currently working in a management role in the telecommunications IT industry. Liz is married to Cheno and they have two children, daughter Mischa and son Joel.
Mark has been a partner of CityLife Church since 1989 and, after returning from three years interstate, renewed his partnership in 2000. He serves in the Creative Ministries team as vocalist and musician and served as a Council member of WCC since 2005. Mark has Engineering (Mech.) degree and a MBA. He has worked in the capital equipment industry for 28 years and held the role of Business Manager for CityLife Church for seven years from 2007 to 2014. Mark is married to Tina and they have three young adult children.
Michael has been an elder since 2011. Michael became a partner of CityLife Church in 2007 and serves in a number of ministry areas including Life Group leadership and coaching. He is a chartered engineer, ministers regularly in South East Asia and is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary. Michael is married to Gwen and together they have two adult children.
Peter Leigh served as an elder from 1997 – 2013. Peter is currently the Executive Minister and is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the church, managing the senior leadership team and aligning the activities of our ministries with our vision. He has been a staff member since 1993 and a partner since 1982. He is married to Linda and they have three children - two young adults and one teenager.
