Manningham Service Pastor/ Teaching Pastor
We are currently looking for a Service Pastor/Teaching Pastor for our Manningham site. This will be a 12 month Fixed Term role. The Manningham Service Pastor/ Teaching Pastor works closely with and under the leadership of Lead Pastor Manningham/Melbourne City to teach, guide, develop the congregation as well as coach volunteer team members.
They will also support the Manningham Team in carrying out all aspects of weekend services.  The Manningham Service Pastor/ Teaching Pastor will also provide assistant at the Melbourne City site where required.

CityLife Church is a multi-site Pentecostal church based in Melbourne, Australia. Our mission is to raise up fervent followers of Jesus Christ who will reach out and impact communities, cities and nations for the kingdom of God.  We have multi-site congregations in the municipalities of Knox, Manningham, Melbourne CBD, Casey and Whittlesea.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Lead Pastor and other Manningham staff to preach/teach, host and support the Manningham congregation. 
  • Work with the Manningham staff team in the pursuit of the vision and goals for both congregations within the context of the overall vision and goals for CityLife Church.
  • Support ministry leaders in monitoring the spiritual health and vitality of the congregation.
  • Identify, raise, train and coach ministry leaders for weekend services.
  • Preach/Teach and host regularly in weekend services as well as Preach/ Teach and host at Melbourne City as required.
  • Ensure that all facilitation aspects of the weekend meetings are operating smoothly with teams for welcoming, connections, venue management, prayer, worship, offering, water baptism and communion.


The successful applicant will have:

  • Sound understanding of Biblical knowledge and Christian doctrine.
  • Theological or pastoral qualification(s) - minimum Certificate IV level 
  • Strategy, planning and budget management
  • Staff motivation and supervision
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking, weekend message construction and delivery and report writing
  • Gathering, recruiting and developing/motivating leaders
  • Small group coaching and pastoral care - giving and receiving feedback, prayer and commitment to growth and healing
  • ITC - competence in Microsoft Office, video meetings and social media

Kids Pastor - Lower Primary (Knox)
CityLife Kids Knox are looking for an energetic and creative individual to join their dynamic team as the CityLife Kids Pastor – Lower Primary.
This role will be to lead CityLife Kids Lower Primary and to assist the CityLife Kids Pastor - Knox (Primary Supervisor) with the planning and organising of the administrative and ministry (care and spiritual development) aspects of CityLife Kids Lower Primary to create a safe, fun and God-filled environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Effectively plan, execute and provide feedback for Primary curriculum and weekend services alongside the team of Primary pastors.
  • Coordinate Lower Primary rooms.
  • Direct communications to Primary teams via various mediums.
  • Lead CityLife Kids volunteer teams and co-ordinate weekend programmes as required on either a Saturday or Sunday (as rostered).
  • Assist in recruiting, equipping and training Primary volunteers and to ensure update of all Primary data within the Church database system alongside Team Supervisor.
  • Host and lead other staff teams and volunteers on weekend services as well as discuss and implement appropriate strategies to enhance engagement of children, families and volunteers for weekend services.
  • Lead intentional Kids Worship ministry and Kids Band development, liaise with events concerning band/choir occasions.
  • Assist in the pastoral oversight of Lower Primary children and their families through teaching, encouragement, discipleship milestones and other necessary programmes outside of weekend services. Sensitive follow-up of absences and behavioural issues as required. 


The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum Certificate 4 in training/education/teaching or ministry/theology, or working towards, desirable
  • Musical/worship abilities, skills and qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking, and report writing.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop volunteer leaders.
  • Team building skills.
  • Organisation ability, decision-making and problem solving.
  • Demonstrates sound understanding of biblical knowledge and Christian doctrine.

Casual Receptionist - Knox
We are currently seeking a Casual Reception Assistant for our Knox-based Reception team. You will be part of a friendly, vibrant team who welcome visitors, have a ready smile and servant heart.  This role interacts with staff and volunteers across many ministries and complements our permanent Reception Team by providing Reception cover on rostered Thursday/Friday afternoons for staff events and staff annual leave.
To be successful in this role you will be familiar with church culture and have excellent people skills. You will have attention to detail and be good at adapting to extremely busy or quiet periods.

This is an onsite role at CityLife Church in Knox at 1248 High Street Road Wantirna South, 3152

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate telephone system to handle all incoming telephone calls, answer inquiries and direct to appropriate personnel, and take messages for staff members.
  • Greet and direct CityLife visitors and contractors who arrive at Reception for meetings and appointments liaising with staff members. 
  • Receive and record deliveries and contact the relevant staff member for prompt pick up. 
  • Perform general office administration as required.

Network Pastor - Mandarin Congregation
CityLife is currently seeking a Network Pastor – Chinese Church (Mandarin) Fixed Term 12 months – 0.4 FTE The Network Pastor – Mandarin Congregation, works closely with the Chinese Church Lead Pastor to grow the Mandarin congregation. The Network Pastor is mainly responsible for the development and growth of pastoral care and discipleship through our Life Groups network.
The Network Pastor is also responsible with the Lead Pastor for the development and growth of the Mandarin weekend services. The Network Pastor works closely with the Lead Pastor – Chinese Church, to develop and deliver on the goals and vision for the Mandarin congregation in line with the Vision of CityLife Church.

You will be fluent in English and Mandarin and have full Australian working rights.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in casting vision and goals and implementing these for the Mandarin congregation.
  • Provide Pastoral care for the Mandarin congregation.
  • Grow Life Groups through active coaching to Life Group leaders and co-leaders & raising new groups.
  • Overseeing the Mandarin Life Groups.
  • Assist in preparations for smooth running of the Mandarin services.
  • Coaching and training Life Group Coaches, Leaders, and Co-Leaders.
  • Provide Life Tracks teaching and training for the Mandarin congregation.


The successful applicant will have:

  • Theological or Pastoral qualification is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a pastoral capacity is preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop leaders/volunteers.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking, weekend message construction and delivery, and report writing.
  • Ability to motivate leaders and grow volunteer leadership teams.
  • Leadership - effective consulting and decision-making skills and experience (preferably at least two years’ experience leading others).
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and social media.
  • Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin; preferable to be at least conversational in Cantonese, but fluency in Cantonese would be favourable.

Pre School Pastor - Knox
CityLife Kids Knox are looking for an energetic and engaging individual to join their dynamic team as the CityLife Kids Pre School pastor.
This role will assist the CityLife Kids Pastor - Knox (Preschool Supervisor) with the planning and organising of the administrative and ministry (care and spiritual development) aspects of CityLife Kids Preschool (children aged 12 months to 5 years) to create a safe, fun and God-filled environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible to assist in curriculum and prepare all necessary teaching materials (for example, videos, music, PPTs, monthly overviews, craft, parent communication, Kids Life group sessions) for Preschool including general sites curriculum support. 
  • Responsible to coordinate Preschool rooms.
  • Create an attractive and welcoming, but also practical environment for all preschool programs including the parents lounge (this may include set up and pack down each week).
  • Responsible to assist in recruiting, equipping, and training Preschool volunteers and to ensure update of all Preschool data within the Church database system alongside CityLife Kids Pastor (Knox) Team Development and Training.
  • Responsible to oversee and coordinate CityLife Kids special events within the church, in schools, and other venues.
  • Responsible to assist in the pastoral oversight of CityLife Kids volunteers alongside Team Supervisor.
  • Responsible to assist in the pastoral oversight of Preschool children and their families through teaching, encouragement, discipleship milestones and other necessary programmes outside of weekend services. Follow up of absences and behavioural issues as required. 
  • Responsible to teach during weekend services in CityLife Kids as well as volunteer development courses i.e. TASK Force and Kids Ministry Trax.


The successful applicant will have:

  • Theological or pastoral qualification(s) desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience working with children – highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated sound understanding of biblical knowledge and Christian doctrine.
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal frameworks and good-practice for ensuring the physical and emotional safety of children in a church setting, including responsibilities of volunteers and parents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking, and report writing.
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop volunteer leaders.
