Manningham Young Adults Pastor
CityLife Manningham is seeking a self-motivated, energetic and passionate person who has vision to see the Young Adults of the Manningham congregation continue to grow, connect and be fervent followers of Christ.
Working
with the Lead Pastor- Manningham, Manningham staff and volunteers, the Young
Adults Pastor oversees the development of the Young Adult Ministry that raises
up fervent followers of Jesus Christ who will reach out and impact communities,
cities and nations for the kingdom of God. This is a
part time role (FTE 0.4), where the Young Adults Pastor will provide leadership,
quality pastoral care and discipleship to those young people associated with
the CityLife Manningham Young Adults Ministry – through monthly meetings, Life
Groups and pastoral care and visits. This role will commence in April 2026. Key
responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Overseeing the Pastoral Care and Discipleship vision within the Young
Adults Ministry.
- Selecting, training, discipling and caring for all Young Adult Leaders.
- Facilitating and developing all aspects of Young Adults Monthly
Meetings/Life Groups.
- Ensuring that the YAs are personally cared for through Life Groups,
visitation, hospitality, encouragement and counsel as and when necessary.
- Facilitating a Life Group structure and fostering pastoral care and
discipleship amongst peers.
- Developing and maintaining a strategy for reaching and assimilating new
YAs.
- Liaising with the Lead Pastor in all aspects of YAs and general Church
activities.
- Teaching at the various YAs meetings.
The
successful applicant will have:- Cert IV in Theology (or working towards) is preferable.
- Previous experience working with youth / young adults in a pastoral
setting.
- Understanding of current Child Safe Standards including risk management
processes to ensure a safe environment.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, select, develop and lead leaders.
- Track record of successful small group, coaching and pastoral care
skills i.e. giving and receiving feedback, delegation and accountability.
- Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking,
and report writing.
- Team building skills.
- Effective decision-making and problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to disciple youth and young adults.
