Community Care Director
CityLife Community Care is currently seeking an experienced full-time Director to lead and oversee all aspects of this exciting ministry.
CityLife Community Care is the community impact expression of CityLife Church Knox and exists to connect our church with our local community in ways that meet needs and build relationships. This role is a key link between the church and the local community. Through our volunteers and staff, we offer compassionate practical support, programs, mentoring and pathways for people to find empowerment and community.

CityLife Community Care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director who will lead all operational aspects of the ministry in consultation with the Board of Management, including oversight of staff and volunteers, programs, risk, finances, marketing, reporting and planning. It also facilitates support to CityLife Church sites where needed. This role will occasionally require work after hours and on weekends.

About you
We are looking for someone who has the drive and passion to manage and grow CityLife Community Care’s multiple services. You are a proven leader with experience in the community sector or a related field, who is able to develop, communicate and deliver on vision and strategy.   
Working with a highly committed and dedicated team, your primary focus will be to provide strong leadership and continue to build an effective team culture by encouraging growth and development while ensuring that the organisation remains true to its values and responsive to the needs of the local community.

Overview of role responsibilities (but not limited to)

Leadership
Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of CityLife Community Care, including the ability to prepare & implement budgets, strategy, planning, implementation, and oversight of reporting skills and a track record of delivering against goals.

Staff Oversight and Coaching
Facilitate a positive, empowering, and collaborative culture that will enhance the growth of the ministry. Coach and lead the staff and volunteers towards the fulfillment of the mission and vision of CityLife Community Care, providing supervision in line with CityLife Church guidelines. Participate in CityLife supervisor training and Head of Department meetings as required.

Promotion, Networking, and Site Support
To oversee all fundraising activities, submissions, and promotions for CLCC, promote the opportunities for community involvement provided by CityLife Community Care to the CityLife Church congregation, local government agencies, state and federal government representatives, external organisations, and authorities. Facilitate the provision of advice/assistance/coaching to other CityLife congregation Community ministry staff from time to time in conjunction with Lead Pastors.

Creative Ministries Pastor - Casey
CityLife Casey is looking to fill the position of a part-time Creative Ministries Pastor.
We are currently seeking a part-time (3 day) Creative Ministries Pastor who will be responsible for leading and developing the congregation Worship Team to provide an engaging congregational worship experience in our weekend services and events.  The Creative Ministries Pastor provides pastoral guidance, supports, and develops volunteers to express their gifts to serve the congregation.  They also provide weekly operational support for the corporate worship at services.  The Creative Ministries Pastor leads their team to create an atmosphere where people can fervently engage with God.  The role liaises closely with the Creative Ministries Pastor Knox and Knox worship team for general support.

Role responsibilities will include (but not limited to) providing leadership and overseeing  the following areas in this creative space:

  • Recruitment/building teams
  • Compliance/onboarding
  • Training and development
  • Rosters/provision of volunteers
  • Assisting in major church events/staging
  • Admin

Missional Communities Coach
CityLife Church has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Missional Communities Coach to assist in the development and growth of CityLife’s Missional Community Leaders.
CityLife Church is a multi-site church that is often expressed as one church in may locations.  CityLife is committed to raise up fervent followers of Jesus Christ who will reach out and impact communities, cities and nations for the Kingdom of God.  As part of this mission CityLife is developing Missional Communities.  
    
The Missional Community Coach is an integral part of CityLife’s Church Multiplication strategy.  The Coach will work in consultation with the Church Multiplication Champion to establish, develop and grow CityLife’s Missional Communities.  In the initial stages the Coach, working with the CMC, will help to establish the look and feel of Missional Communities as expressed within CityLife.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Identify, recruit and interview prospective Missional Community Leaders and assist in the selection process. 
  • Develop and provide training programs to prepare and equip new Leaders.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training and pastoral care to the Leaders. 
  • Work with Leaders in monitoring the spiritual growth and direction of the Missional Communities.
  • Work with Missional Communities Leaders to establish a system to monitor the health of their Missional Community.
  • Liaise and consult with Lead Pastors as necessary to provide support for Missional Communities linked with their congregation.


You will have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to develop and coach, build teams, and have great project coordination skills.
