Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible to establish and manage the annual World Impact budgeting process and cash flow modelling in consultation with the Missions Executive; monthly monitoring and reporting of income and expenditure against budget.
  • Oversee processes and reviews for all World Impact projects.
  • Evaluate and monitor major overseas projects (will involve occasional travel).
  • Working with World Impact Team Leader assisting in coordination of the development of improved office procedures. 
  • Oversight of CityLife World Impact website 
  • Coordinate all World Impact related IT including ministry systems, database, and intranet.
  • Give oversight to the World Impact Café


The successful applicant will have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication (including reporting) skills.
  • Experience in strategic, analytical, and financial planning
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in database management
  • Excellent interpersonal / leadership skills including the ability to inspire and coach others.
  • Experience in a church or not-for-profit organisation is preferred.

Network Pastor - Casey
Our Casey site is currently looking for a Network Pastor to provide leadership, quality pastoral care and discipleship to church members through Life Groups, weekend services, Alpha, and other church ministry events. The Network Pastor (Casey) is responsible to oversee a network of Life Groups and ensure their volunteer leaders are supported, guided and that the groups are healthy and growing.

  • Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:


  • To oversee a network of Life Groups and the leadership team. 
  • To ensure that effective pastoral care is provided for each Coach, Life Group Leader and co-leaders and their families through regular prayer, visitation, and phone contact. This may occur during evenings.
  • To be directly responsible for the Coaches within the network and ensure their effectiveness.
  • To raise up and establish new and potential leaders and encourage initiation of new groups.
  • To encourage the spiritual growth of each Life Group coach and leader through personal input and accountability, including training once a term to motivate and inspire them spiritually and practically.
  • To work alongside the Pastor at Casey to provide leadership and oversight for Alpha Nights, alongside the already established Alpha Team.
  • To provide leadership to the weekend services teams ensuring we offer a caring community culture where people feel welcomed.
  • To work alongside the volunteer Casey Life Tracks Co-Ordinator to organise and co-ordinate teachers for various LifeTracks sessions and speak at sessions as required.

  • Understanding of current Child Safe Standards including risk management processes to ensure a safe environment.
  • Cert IV in Youth Ministry/Theology (or working towards) is preferable.

The Role
The Knox Associate Pastor works closely with the Knox Lead Pastor (KLP) to lead our Knox Campus.  An active member of our Multisite Leadership Team (MsLT), the Knox Associate Pastor leads a team of 9 staff and provides leadership to our Network Pastors and pastoral support team.  The Knox Associate Pastor provides leadership and oversight to our Small Groups Ministry (Life Group) and Life Tracks (teaching/growth) and acts as a Subject Matter Expert in these areas for all CityLife sites.  The Knox Associate Pastor also works closely with the KLP to provide leadership and oversight to our Knox weekend meetings.

About you
Having previously led or co-lead a church or congregation, you easily connect with and build rapport with people. You have demonstrated confidence in your spiritual gifts and ministry and have a heart for connecting people to the church through Small Groups and care networks.  You have a focus for pastoral care and have experience in developing, mentoring and coaching pastoral teams.  You also have the ability to coach your team on the recruitment, selection and development of leaders and volunteers.  You also have excellent verbal and communication skills and an eye for detail.
You have a minimum Bachelor of Theology or equivalent and have 5+ years’ experience leading a church or congregation, including leadership, pastoral care, motivation, and development of pastors.  Previous experience in a senior minister role and/or a multi-site church context will be highly regarded.  
A Police Check and current Working with Children’s Check will be mandatory for this position on appointment.

Creative Ministries Pastor - Knox
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Creative Ministries Pastor at our Knox site. The Creative Ministries Pastor oversees all creative ministries at CityLife’s Knox campus. This is a strategic leadership position with an emphasis on leadership development and empowerment of Creative/ Production staff and key volunteers.

The Creative Ministries Pastor works closely with the Knox Lead Pastor to set direction and priorities for all creative ministries at CityLife Church - Knox. The Creative Ministries Pastor has leadership of, and responsibility for ministries including the various teams that make up the Creative Ministries Department: Worship Team, Music Team and Production Team. The role has an on-site presence at weekend services at Knox, as well as at major Knox events.

This will be a Full Time (FTE 1.0) position.

The main tasks of this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic leadership and vision casting for CityLife’s Creative Ministries Teams and Creative Volunteer Leaders at Knox.
  • Lead a cross functional team in planning the delivery and evaluation of weekend services, liaising with the Knox Lead Pastor and Service Pastors
  • Oversee people and develop systems to provide suitable musicians, singers, Production crew and other creative ministries volunteers (e.g., actors, dancers) for weekend services and events. This includes: Music and worship team, Production team and Volunteers 
  • Develop effective systems for identifying and developing creative talent in our staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee creative ministries planning and budget achievement.
  • Provide worship direction and input into developing worship leaders, in partnership with the Creative Music Leader.
  • Ensure all areas of Creative Ministries are aligned in direction and practise.


Required Qualifications and Attributes/ Skills:

  • Experience in leading a large creative volunteer team and managing a staff team.
  • An understanding of how music and production are utilised well in a contemporary church context.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, select and develop leaders.
  • Demonstrated track record of coaching, working with staff and pastoral care skills i.e. giving and receiving feedback, delegation and accountability
  • Planning and delivery of major events
  • Demonstrated confidence in spiritual gifts and ministry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication – including public speaking.

Service Pastor
CityLife is currently seeking a Service Pastor for Manningham. 0.6 FTE The Service Pastor will lead, guide, direct, develop and coach a team of leaders (volunteer team members) in carrying out all aspects of the weekend services and all ministries in fulfilment of the CityLife mission within the CBD and surrounding areas.
The Service Pastor is the weekend services leader of the Melbourne CBD Meeting Point.

About the Role

The HR Generalist provides assistance to the Head of People & Culture to ensure that CityLife Church Inc (including CityLife Community Care Inc.) is compliant with the relevant legislation and applicable industrial instruments.  The HR Generalist will focus on recruitment and selection, staff onboarding and offboarding practices, management of staff contracts in line with applicable Awards including pay governance.  The HR Generalist will answer general inquiries from staff regarding HR policies, procedures and applicable legislation.  The HR Generalist also helps the Head of People & Culture with ad hoc projects and work as required.  
 
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

  • 4-5 years’ experience working in a HR Generalist or similar role with the ability to interpret and provide advice on relevant HR legislation, applicable Awards and policies and procedures.
  • A tertiary qualification in HR or a related area will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience and understand of working with Awards.  Specific experience with Clerks - Private Sector Award 2010, Social Community Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2020 & Miscellaneous Award 2020 will be highly regarded.
  • Current knowledge of Australian employment legislation and the industrial relations framework is needed for this role. 
  • Highly competent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret complex documents (i.e. Awards, policy documents) 
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, listening, negotiation and consultative skills at all levels.
  • Good time management and the ability to multi-task with exceptional follow-through to ensure decisions are enacted in a timely manner.
  • Recent Police Check and Employee Working with Children Check – mandatory on appointment
