A Story of Reconciliation

This story is to encourage mothers to never give up praying for their children.
I have been praying for seven years asking God to restore the relationship between my two sons, who were so close when growing up. It was just before Christmas, a time when families gather together. I was desperate for God to intervene in this situation where two brothers were still not talking or having a relationship with each other. I cried out in prayer telling God the emotional anguish I was still having about this, "Father, just as you reunited Joseph and his brothers after many years, so I ask you please to now reunite my boys". Within hours I had a call from my younger son and I decided to share what I had prayed for. His response was "yes mum, perhaps it will come one day, I hope so".
Just a couple of days later my eldest son called, he was so happy to share that his younger brother had called him and they spoke for 45 minutes! In this conversation they offered each other forgiveness.
I thank God, praising him for softening their hearts, for hearing my prayers to reunite and restore. As I write this, even while they have not physically seen each other, they have been communicating by phone. But I know that what God has started he will bring to completion. I know also that healing through forgiveness has been released.
Thanks for taking time to read this story. I pray it will give mothers hope, encourage them to understand that God's ancient promises to Joseph are today's yes and amen promises.
