After a bad skiing fall approximately eight years ago, I badly damaged my lower back and both hips and was unable to walk without excruciating pain in my lower back and hips. I was taking continual pain relief medication and praying that God would somehow intervene and heal me... (after a second hip replacement) things went terribly wrong. When I woke from the operation and couldn't feel my right leg below the knee and I knew something had gone horribly wrong... They concluded that as a result of a motor nerve being damaged to my foot, I was left with Palsy (Foot drop).
A titanium brace was made to strap onto my leg and lift my foot inside my shoe and I spent the next two years learning to walk again and being reliant on my friends and wife to push me around in a wheel chair or assist me on my crutches. It was at this time I visited CityLife Church for the first time and the pastors would pray for me each week.
Slowly I regained my walking ability and learned to drive again with left foot accelerator and to bike ride with my friends who would push me up the hills. Each year my leg has improved and I can now walk and ride and resume a normal lifestyle again. I thank God for my miraculous recovery.
