Just over a year ago, CityLife Community Care (CLCC) began working with a widower who had lost his confidence and was barely able to afford to eat. He was referred to us through the Knox City Council. We have been supporting him through a few of our services whilst he has been receiving grief and loss counselling.
Recently he reported, that without the help of CLCC, he didn’t know where he would be. He said that through our help he now had an affordable utilities plan and was able to re‐negotiate his phone bill and have the debt cleared. He was also eating better and receiving help for his mental health through our counselling services. As a result of ongoing support has started applying for jobs again and feels confident about the future. He is a completely different person to the man we first saw 12 months ago.
