My recent long service leave has given me time to unwind and get back to my hobbies - cooking and gardening. Never thought spending so much time outdoors would rekindle my relationships with my neighbours. Being able to help one of my neighbours (single mom) mow their front lawn has given me great joy. Helping my other elderly neighbour clean their gutters saw me blessed in return with a bowl of

and Greek cookies. Sharing my lemons with my neighbours brings smiles all around. But the best part was seeing my neighbours walking their dogs, Kirra the white German Shepherds living just at my right hand side. And Molly the female Labrador who’s always looking forward to my hug and pat. Indeed, it’s such a blessing to be able to bless others!
