During the time of COVID-19 isolation, I have started working as a Personal Carer of the elderly in the their homes. Last week, I was in the home of an elderly Catholic couple. At the end of the shift, I sung them a hymn (mask and all) as they heard I am an opera singer too and they were very religious. I could see the woman holding back her tears. She asked to speak to me in another room. She told me she had sinned with anger toward her husband and she was filled with guilt not begin able to ask forgiveness without her priest. I told her God can hear her heart directly and we prayed together for God to take away her sin. She began to cry deeply as we prayed and I could see the load physically leave her. We praised God together. It was difficult because in normal circumstances I would embrace her, but all this had to be done from a distance. I was certain however, that God Himself was spiritually embracing her. I felt His anointing. Now I understand why this work is so important and I love the opportunities which have risen because of it. Thank You Jesus!
