For 6 years my neighbours have behaved rudely towards us and to guests that come to visit. They don’t want any cars parked in front of their house or any leaves to infest their home. They cut any overhanging branches and throw them at us. Their language consists of one favourite word repeated over and over... And if looks could kill! Late last year I noticed the wife was no longer present at the home. After 3 months, I began to worry about her whereabouts, wondering whether she had fallen ill, so I began to pray for her. I also prayed that God would give me another chance to reach out to her with love instead of frustration. Believe it or not, after only 2 days, I saw her attending to her garden. With sheer excitement, I approached her with a smile and told her I’d missed her and was afraid she had taken ill. With tears in her eyes she told me her sister had taken ill and she had gone to live with her to care for her until her death. At this point she collapsed in my arms and I was able to sooth and comfort her. Now we see each other weekly for rather long chats and laughs. They have become the best neighbours.
