Ten days ago, the hospital in which I work was in the news for COVID-19 cases. Within three days, the cases doubled and the health department came and ordered the hospital to be shut down for deep cleaning. This was devastating to me as I only work in one hospital and it would mean no income for at least two weeks. My wife and I looked through our budget, trying to juggle things. After an agonising decision, we decided to stop our payments for three months regarding an ongoing commitment to a Christian charity we both love. On Sunday,
Jason [Smith] shared about Kingdom Generosity
and I felt a firm prompting by the Holy Spirit: “don’t stop giving, you will be okay, it's all taken care of”. I felt reassured and comforted. I told my wife and we decided to continue the payments as per usual. The next day, my hospital CEO called me and asked if I could look after the remaining patients in the ward. It turns out that I was the only doctor to attend at this one hospital, while the other doctors attend at other hospitals as well. This was deemed too risky by the health department!! Now, I am the only doctor in the hospital looking after all the patients in my particular area of specialty. The giving has been taken care of, my burden has lifted, and He has provided -- yet again. He is Lord and I am so blessed to be called His child. Amen.
