CityLife Community Care have been blown away recently by an amazing donation. A member of CityLife Church recently had to sell his boat and after committing the sale to the Lord, he received a very good price. He felt the Holy Spirit prompt him to do a second tithe on the money he had received and asked God what he should do. He felt strongly that he should purchase food for those persons in our community doing it tough, and then have the food distributed through CityLife Community Care.
What is amazing about this story is that because of restrictions on food purchases, it took him 2 weeks going back and forth to Aldi, Coles and Woollies buying what he could again and again and again. Each trip he would fill the boot of his car and faithfully drop it off and return again and again, until he was too tired for that day. Tirelessly shopping to find the essential items needed, the gentleman was “thrilled to bits” to be able to help. His generous heart and determined sacrifice to do what God had asked of him, and to bless the community around him, was a HUGE encouragement to us all. We thank God for his amazing blessing and this gentleman, who wishes to remain anonymous for the selfless giving both financially and practically at such a time as this.
