It's wonderful to praise God for the breakthrough from seeds planted along the way. Last Christmas I got involved with setting up several family areas in the street foyer at church. In particular, a dining table set up with named place cards. I.e. one name was intentionally marked Gayle (new friend). What led to Gayle's name being placed at the table is that one day before last Christmas this lady walked into my store. I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to somehow engage in a conversation that resulted in her sharing her situation, breaking down, and me asking if I could pray for her.

I had incidentally prayed that morning for an opportunity to share with someone who needed to know about God's love for them. I hadn't heard from Gayle again until she surprised me last Friday. She said she just had to come back to tell me that her life and that of her son has turned around and to thank me for noticing and helping her. Added to this, she says she thought about me a lot and prays for me!! I also told her about her name at the Christmas table at church and that I was praying for her. She was amazed. I was so blessed to hear that her head is now held up, that she smiles and tells me how she has gone to help a stranger in the street.

I am blessed that she has been praying for me! I am convinced that each little seed of kindness coming from our mouth is never wasted. I believe God brought Gayle back as an encouragement for me to trust the promptings of the Holy Spirit and that a harvest springs up from a kind word. I am blessed that this one woman came back to share her new story. Her name at the table is a reminder that Jesus has room for many more at his table.
