Being born into a Christian family, I always understood the importance of baptism. However, I first felt the need to get baptised during a special prayer to receive Holy Spirit at church nearly 2 years ago. I left that Sunday service with what God had put in my heart and I had been praying about it ever since. A few months later I happened to go on a snow skiing trip with my friends where I ended up badly injuring my right knee (fractured 2 bones and tore my meniscus) and was told by a few doctors that surgery was the only solution. God had His own plans for me and healed me at the most unexpected time and place through someone I had never met before asking to pray for healing on my knee. My knee was better then and there and I had a new MRI scan for my Orthopaedic who was shocked to see my knee medically fit too. This miracle really made my faith stronger. God has been telling me to take the next step through various ways whether it is miracles in my life or others around me. I am so glad I took the step to be baptised last weekend, declaring my faith in Christ my saviour!
