W came to CityLife Community Care (CLCC) in early 2018 needing support and help with resume writing and coaching in job interview skills. W came from overseas and was unable to bring his wife and new baby to Australia until he had secured full time employment and a stable place of residence. Feeling very depressed and unable to secure a job despite numerous attempts, W was mentored by one of CLCC’s employment support volunteers. After a few months W was able to secure a position in a well-known big bank. After almost 2 years apart, at the end of last year, he has been able to bring his young family to Australia and they have settled in the local area. All three members are very happy and very grateful for the help that they received from the CityLife and the CLCC team.
