The Birth of Answered Prayer

I knew a woman from my mothers group wanted to have more children and that she and her husband had to do IVF for the first pregnancy. Their little girl was born at only 28 weeks. One day after church I felt a prompting to ask her if she would like me to pray for them as they tried to conceive.
They are not believers. She was amazed I asked to pray as they had only just had the conversation about trying again. I began to pray for them. After a little while they booked in to start another round of IVF but when they did the check they found out she was already two days pregnant! I cried I was so happy to hear God's answer to my prayers!
As the pregnancy went on she began to feel anxious that this baby would be premature too. As it drew closer to 24 weeks she became more anxious and even had some scary symptoms and needed to be monitored. Again, I offered to pray for her and she accepted. Incredibly, the baby was born full term. She had some medical help along the way but I have no doubt God has a special plan for this little boy.
It was so wonderful for me to be involved in her journey. Praying was one little thing I could do to invest into her and when she received her joy, it was mine also. How wonderful to watch God at work.
