I was meant to start a new role (let's call it Job A) in early December. However, the week before I started, I was offered another role in Job B within the same company. Job B is more aligned to my interest and experience. My heart's desire was Job B.
I was wondering why things happened in a timing which I didn't expect. I was praying for a miracle from God. That he would release me from Job A to be able to accept Job B. It is challenging to start a new job on day one and tell your new boss that you wanted to move to another role! I prayed earnestly and asked for prayers.
I spoke to the manager of Job A and she agreed to release me. I accepted Job B. Job B was not meant to start until early January, but they moved forward my start date to December knowing my circumstances. All transition was sorted in a week.
The timing of things may be inconvenient but it has taught me a few things: 1. I have experienced how God work things in my life but this is a miracle. When he opens a door no man can shut it. When you have experienced him in a powerful way, it will never be the same again. 2. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16 (NLT) The power of prayers from my Life Group, friends, etc that have lifted the request to the throne of the Father. This transforming experience has made me realise that 'He made all things beautiful in His time'. Ecclesiastes 3:11. I look forward to the many greater things that are yet to come. May God's name be glorified through all is said and done.
