When I rang Coles Insurance general number I was connected to a young South African man in Durban, SA, Fredric. He asked what I did for a living and when I told him I was a pastor, he immediately took interest and wanted to solicit my view on his situation. He was facing tension in deciding whether to pursue the option of opening, or working in, a tattoo shop. Coming from a religious background and having faced judgement from his family when got a tattoo himself, he was conflicted about what to do.
He shared that he is a spiritual man and has always wanted to 'do the right thing' when it comes to God/religion, but being passionate and very skilled with his hands in art, he would like to pursue that opportunity. When I asked about his personal relationship with Jesus, he admitted he was not sure, and he wanted to be sure. So he recommitted his life and was excited to be on a right footing to pursue his passion with God by his side. We Google-searched a few churches to find the addresses of some near him and I encouraged him to visit and get connected.
