God's Guidance

When my husband died aged 57, I was left with a small goods truck business and a unit only half paid for. What needed to be done was for me to drive the truck, pick up and make deliveries, in order to keep my unit to have somewhere to live.

My son in-law arranged for his brother to drive the truck for a week after the funeral and then I took over the business which was not making enough money to put on the market.

One day when it was really wet and cold, and I had had a really stressful day, I asked God what I should do. I could not keep dragging myself out of bed at 5:30 am to drive this truck and lug small goods much longer, and I was at my wits end. I was told to get the business in order and put it on the market which had been my aim, but I hadn't thought it was ready yet. When the accountant drew up the figures, it turned out that it might work.

Having managed to sell the business, I was able to pay all but $10,000 off the unit and so managed to find a job and pay the rest off. Had God not guided me in this, I would have finished up with nothing and I thank God every day for being there for me when I needed him.
