各位弟兄姐妹，大家好，今天我在这里分享一些我在还没有认识主耶稣的点滴，追溯到几年前我太太病逝之后，我的生活可以说是很孤僻的，不怎么想去有社交圈子，只想呆在家里什么都不做放空自己，过着有一天算一天的日子，直接到3月27太太生日我到她的墓前，才想起太太是基督教徒，所以当时有闪过一丝念头就是如果我想再见到我太太的话，肯定是要到天国，所以我需要回去教会了. 刚开始主日崇拜的几个星期都是做完主日祟拜之后就马上赶着回家，可能不是很适应,崇拜之后的那些活动，直到这里的教友Cintria 推荐我到这个叫Alpha的课程认识到龚先生和龚太後才让我去慢慢开始了解和更深度的探讨和思考主耶稣基督的智慧，在我思考的期间有一些过去，会不知道为什么出现在我的脑海里面，比如说好像我太太在梦里面跟我说过，你要相信主耶稣不要只是想在天国见到”我“，要真正的相信主耶稣，然后在天国见到“我”,可以當是一个bonus, 另外还有一件事情，就是在多年前我太太犯病住院的时候，当时我是一名吸烟30多年的烟民，我曾经试过很多次戒烟，试过很多方法，但是不成功，当时我对自己说我必须要戒掉这个烟瘾，太太仿佛有对我说她会帮我祈祷，从那天起我就开始戒烟，过了几天后，烟瘾让我点燃了一只香烟，但是吸进一口之后，我马上天旋地转的晕眩，之后又有一次听到太太病情严重的消息，我又点起了香烟同样的也是很晕,从那时开始我就把烟戒掉了，在这一点我发觉其实主早就已经在我身边或者我的人生里面出现过了，只不过当时我太忙了或者不会去反思发生过的事情，或者当了是一件理所当然的事.最后我仅可以和大家分享的几个我在圣经里面学到的几个简单的字，但是对我来说都不简单，分享，感恩，忏悔，崇拜，祈祷，希望将来我可以在圣经里边学多几个字.
Today I'd like to share a little about my journey before I came to know Jesus.
A few years ago, after my wife passed away, my life became very lonely and isolated. I didn't want to socialise or be around people. I just wanted to stay at home, doing nothing, simply letting the days pass by one at a time.
Then, on 27 March, which was my wife's birthday, I went to visit her grave. It suddenly came to my mind that my wife was a Christian. A thought flashed through my mind: if I wanted to see her again one day, it would have to be in heaven. That meant I needed to return to church.
For the first few weeks after I started attending Sunday services, I would leave immediately after the service ended. I guess I wasn't very comfortable yet and didn't really join in any of the fellowship activities afterwards.
Then one of the church members, Cintria, invited me to join the Alpha course. Through Alpha, I got to know Mr. and Mrs. Gong. They patiently helped me begin to understand Jesus Christ and encouraged me to think more deeply about the Christian faith and His wisdom.
During this time of searching and reflecting, some experiences from my past kept coming back to my mind.
One of them was a dream in which my wife seemed to say to me, "Don't just believe in Jesus because you want to see me in heaven. Truly believe in Jesus, and then we will meet again in heaven." You could say that this was a bonus or an extra encouragement for me.
There was another experience many years ago when my wife was seriously ill and in hospital. At that time, I had been smoking for over thirty years. I had tried many times and many different methods to quit, but I always failed.
One day I said to myself that I had to quit smoking. It was as if my wife told me that she would pray for me. From that day on, I started trying to quit. A few days later, the craving became so strong that I lit a cigarette. But after taking just one puff, I immediately became extremely dizzy and felt like the whole world was spinning. Later, when I received more bad news about my wife's condition, I lit another cigarette, and exactly the same thing happened. From that moment on, I completely gave up smoking.
Looking back now, I realise that the Lord had already been beside me and working in my life long before I knew Him. At the time, I was simply too busy, or perhaps I never stopped to reflect on what had happened. I just took those experiences for granted.
Finally, I'd like to share a few simple words that I've learned from the Bible. They may sound simple, but they are not simple to live out. They are:
Sharing. Gratitude. Repentance. Worship. Prayer.
I hope that in the years ahead, I will continue to learn many more words from the Bible and, more importantly, to live them out in my life.
