During our “21 Days of Prayer and Fasting”, I reflected on past
prayers and God’s faithfulness in answering, and usually with a wonderful
element of surprise.
One
prayer that came to mind was during a time when I felt discouraged and
disheartened. I remember praying the simple prayer, “Lord, I need some
encouragement”. A couple of days later, I was out and stopped to have a
late breakfast at a cafe and when I went to pay for the meal, the waitress said
no need as someone had covered the cost of my meal and said they wanted to
bless me. I asked who it was but the waitress said they wanted to remain
anonymous. Soon after, I remembered my simple prayer and how I was encouraged
and blessed by that kind stranger and I thanked God. We have a wonderful
Saviour and loving Father who sees us, knows us and cares for us personally.
God is faithful.
