I have been encouraging the ladies in my LG to return to regular LIVE services, either Saturday or Sunday. We have ladies in our group aged between mid 40's to early 70's, a few of us in the 60's. I have been attending the Sunday service with my husband, and the Saturday service at 5 pm myself, with the hope that the ladies in the group respond to the invitations I make every week. Yesterday was the first day I had one lady coming to the Saturday service. It uplifted me tremendously. I enjoyed the sermon very much, as this is a topic dear to my heart for a long while now. I am conscious of my expiry date on earth, there is still a lot of sense of wonder and desire to proclaim the goodness of God, and the Big Picture stuff, to share about God's power, authority and covenant presence, to teach, and to inspire others who are in the final dash in our long walk with Christ. To be a servant of servants. God has not called us to be oversized babies to lose our reflected light of Christ and fade into eternity. A ticket to heaven is not enough. We need to redeem our time, and live a servant life too. We need to be equipped. We need renewed vision, freedom to serve and courage to dream.
