God has been really good! I was retrenched last September and have been searching for a job ever since. I thank God for my Life Group members who have been very supportive in prayer and encouragement. Besides praying for me, some Life Group members went the 'extra mile' by putting in referrals for me to roles that were open in the companies where they worked. It has been a trying period for me, to let go and just wait patiently on the Lord. I have also been in contact with several recruitment agencies since September. All have been candid and upfront with me about the quiet job situation during the year-end period. I was put forward for a number of contracting positions by these agencies. Even though my skills and background fit the experience required for these positions, for some reason I was not shortlisted for any interviews. God sees and knows....He graciously answered our prayers, and provided a permanent position for me. This is over and above what I have been praying for (I would have been deeply thankful for even a contracting position as the job market is so tight currently). “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalm 100:5)
