Last Wednesday my 9yo daughter
was admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis. She was experiencing
continuous excruciating pain in her abdomen and was unable to walk with the
pain. On the second night in hospital her pain flared so bad that the nurse
paged the Dr to order an Endone drip for her. The Dr didn’t respond and there
was a delay on the medication arriving. I lay with her praying for her relief,
for her to sleep, for The Holy Spirit to minister to her. As I prayed “Come
Holy Spirit” I felt her little body relax. She fell asleep immediately and
didn’t need the pain relief drip. When the nurse returned with the medication
both of us were asleep and my little girl slept through the night with no need
for the heavier medications.
