I left a domestic violence
relationship and was struggling to make ends meet. My ex-partner was still
controlling me through finances and this had me behind in the rent, at risk of
having my utilities disconnected and unable to buy food for my family. CLCC
connected me to an energy mentor who worked to get the utilities out of my
ex-partner’s name and into my own name. CLCC was also able to provide me with
generous food support, some vouchers and counselling services as well. I am so
thankful for all the help and information they provided me. I’ve just managed to
get funding for my rent which is huge!
