On one of the Encounter Weekends in Kids Church (Knox), children were invited to write or draw something kind for someone in their room. Kids were told that they could come up with something as simple as “You’re always smiling”, “Thanks for making me laugh,” or “I love how you worship God.” Among these beautiful acts of kindness, one little moment stood out. A 6-year-old girl in our Prep–Year 1 room quietly handed-in her card. She had drawn a sweet picture and written just five words: “I love Kids Church.” That small note brought tears to my eyes. Those few words brought much encouragement not just to me, but to every Kids Pastor and volunteer who faithfully pours in their time, energy, creativity, and prayers every weekend. Though it may seem like a simple message, we don’t take it lightly. It’s a reminder that God sees our work and uses even the smallest voices to speak His encouragement. Thank you, little girl! You reminded us why we do what we do. And thank You, God, for the joy of seeing kids encounter Your love through KIDS and every ministry.
