A Testimony of Healing and Providence

In September 2025, our family walked through one of the hardest seasons of our lives. My dad had a serious fall that led to complications, and before long, he was moved into palliative care. Multiple doctors told us that Dad had only had a few days to a week to live. With heavy hearts, we gathered as a family to say our goodbyes and prepare ourselves for what we believed would be his final days. We even held a thanksgiving at church - a living memorial service - where friends and family from Melbourne and across the world joined to honour Dad’s life and faith while he was still with us. It was a sacred moment filled with tears, gratitude, and surrender. We were ready to release him into God’s hands. But God had other plans. Through what can only be described as divine providence, a doctor, connected to someone who was at the thanksgiving church service, heard about Dad’s situation. That simple connection opened the door to a new team of compassionate doctors and nurses who stepped in to help. From that moment, things began to shift. Little by little, we saw life return in Dad’s body, strength where there had been weakness, clarity where there had been confusion, and hope where there had been finality. Miraculously, within a few days, Dad was discharged from palliative care. He is back at home and is now under the care of his local GP. And he is doing very well. Even his doctor, standing in awe of his recovery, said to Dad, “This is the hand of God at work.” Countless people - friends, family, life groups - prayed, offered encouragement, and became part of God’s plan for Dad’s recovery. Their faith and kindness reminded us that God often works through others to bring His purposes to life. It’s been just over a month since that turning point, and every day since has been a gift. We’ve seen firsthand that God’s hand is never too short to save, His timing never off, and His purposes never thwarted. We give all glory and honour to God for His mercy, His timing, and His faithfulness - for what the world saw as final, God has made a testimony of life and abundance. “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” — Ephesians 3:20
