Alpha runs over eight weeks, and explores the basics of Christianity.  Each week a meal is shared together, followed by a short talk and small group discussion, where participants can ask anything, and contribute as much or as little as they like to the group discussion.

The Audio Ministry provides technical support to the weekend Celebration meetings and other major church events, as well as assisting other church departments with their requirements.

To operate and monitor the sound and recording system during Celebration meetings and weekend Children’s Program, including preparing sound system before meetings and packing up after meetings as required. As a community we have formed partnerships with:

  • A local primary school in which we run Kids Hope mentoring
  • A secondary school in which we run a breakfast & lunch time program each week
  • A local organisation that supports young women at risk of sexual exploitation for which we run birthday parties and provide a home cooked meal for group work nights.

KIDS HOPE AUS provides churches with the opportunity to partner with a local primary school by providing volunteer mentors to spend one hour per week with a vulnerable child who needs some extra care and support.
KIDS HOPE AUS is a proven program that provides social, emotional and behavioural development to children in need through the power of one-to-one mentoring. Must have a Working with Children Card and be willing to have a Police Check done as well as pastoral approval to participate. Instructions on how to do this are provided. Training and ongoing support is provided. Must be available during school hours. The mentoring is of a secular nature and not church based.

The Media & Lighting Ministry looks after everything you see during our Church Services and special events, including the graphics and cameras going to screen, the lights in the auditorium, and the displays throughout the building. We record each of our Church Services to put online, which enables the sermons to be seen thousands of times each month all around the globe.  We'd love to have you involved as part of one of our teams - we provide all the training you need - no previous knowledge is required.

As a church we place a high priority on doing our part to fulfil the Great Commission. Since 1967 we have been actively involved in cross-cultural missions, sending short term teams and long term missionaries into the field plus supporting the work of local partners. Today we have 28 missionaries and key partners in Africa, Asia, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Indigenous Australia, the Middle-East, Russia and Europe.
 
The World Impact department represents and facilitates this passion of our congregation for cross-cultural missions but it is our volunteers and supporters that make all that we do possible! So why not consider if you can volunteer in one of following roles.
